This course emphasizes the importance of a provider’s overall ability to recognize, assess, and prevent the development of a variety of common wounds as well as exploring the current and accepted treatments in a healthcare setting. As outlined by the BVNPT and BRN, this course is for educational purposes only and does not identify an LVN or RN as a Certified Wound Care Nurse.

The AHA BLS Healthcare Provider course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. The AHA BLS Healthcare Provider course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe and timely manner. GMEC’s courses provide LOW-STRESS, hands-on experience taught by veteran instructors in a state of the art facility utilizing the most-up-to-date equipment and techniques.

GMEC’s Ventilator Training course is intended and designed primarily for healthcare providers who require initiation into applications and need to acquire basic skills with respiratory equipment. Personalized curriculum, short term, and hands on training in a low stress environment all promote a greater retention of information and techniques. This course is a stand-alone course, or may be included as part of the GMEC Home Health Nursing Essentials course.

GMEC’s Wound Care Prevention Through Recognition and Assessment course understands that the most important factor regarding wound care is prevention.
